Pavement Investigation

With increasing demands being placed on the UK’s infrastructure, in particular the road network, increasingly CET SAFEHOUSE are asked to mobilise our technical expertise to provide key and interpretive data as to the condition and life expectancy of the road network.

From our materials testing facilities we mobilise our trained and experienced technician to conduct the following tests and surveys on the UK’s road network:-

• Falling Weight Deflectometer surveys (FWD)
• Light Weight Deflectometer surveys (LWD / Prima)
• Dynamic Cone Penetration surveys (DCP)
• Ground Penetrating Radar surveys (GPR)
• Air and Water Flush coring
• Pavement Classification Numbering (PCN)
• Window sampling
• Visual inspections
• Pavement Residual Life Determination reports.

All associated laboratory testing required can be carried out and coordinated by our national network of UKAS accredited laboratories to provide Consulting Engineers, Highway Maintenance Contractors, Local Authorities and their designated asset managers a coordinated pavement investigation service throughout the United Kingdom.
