CET SAFEHOUSE is one of the latest group of successful companies to receive SAFEcontractor accreditation; the leading edge scheme, designed to help industry improve its safety record, and demonstrates the very high standards of health and safety practises that CET SAFEHOUSE adopt.

Providing so many different services to so many different markets nation-wide, the company's application for SAFEcontractor accreditation was driven by the need for a uniform standard across all operational areas of the business.

Under the SAFEcontractor system, businesses undergo a vetting process, which examines health and safety procedure and the company's track record for safe practise. Those companies that meet the high standard are included on a database, which is accesible to registered users through the internet. Employer-organisations who sign up to the scheme can access the database, which enables them to vet the potential contractors before they put a foot on site. These employers agree that, as users of the scheme, they will only engage those companies who have received the SAFEcontractor accreditation.

Darran Hughes, Operations Director for SAFEcontractor said, "Major organisations can no longer risk the of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies"

Over 100 major nation-wide businesses, from the key sectors that CET SAFEHOUSE operate in are signed up to use the scheme and so SAFEcontractor accreditation is expected to enhance the company's ability to attract new contracts and its commitment to safety will also be viewed positively by its insurers when the company liability policy is up for renewal.

Friday, 20 November 2009 15:49

CET SAFEHOUSE has been inundated with emergency response requests to mobilise our network of emergency repair contractors as weather conditions in the North West of England and Southern Scotland worsen.

Since the beginning of this week many of our insurance clients have requested emergency mobilisation of our teams to either carry out make safe repairs or  to make the property water tight as water levels rise in the area.

At our Customer Service Centre, we employ highly experienced and dedicated personnel who, with the agreement of our clients, have been making liability decisions, around the clock, to ensure that policy holders receive the highest level of response assistance to minimise the inevitable losses. As the water levels subside, we will be carrying our subsequent building surveying,  flood restoration and building repairs as required.

CET SAFEHOUSE prides itself in the professionalism and sensitivity we adopt in managing all claims, especially in such extreme circumstances. With the experience that we gained in similar events back in July 2007 that effected the South Yorkshire and Humberside regions, we are committed to ensuring that all claims and remediation works are carried out promptly and efficiently so that the disruption that such extreme events causes to  our clients policyholders can be minimised and that they can return to their homes as quickly as possible.
